Pictures Are Everything

December 1, 2025

General Milley retired, so I say good riddance. Look at his stars. One of them won a war and one of them lost the wars, and the one who lost the war is ten times more decorated than the one who won the war. I just want to slow down and have this moment with y’all, to let y’all see in the flesh, in reality, how a person who is worse at doing something, less skilled, is getting more good boy trophies than the person who actually came from the real era. Even if he was evil, you still had to contend with the real good guys, because you was real evil.

I know people could care less, until it’s your son smoking somebody on the track field and then the guy stands next to your son and gets the exact same trophy as your son. So don’t tell me that you don’t care because they’re generals. We have to not be biased. When we’re receiving information, just take the topic at hand in context. I’m not talking about the generals. I’m talking about the idea that one person can be sorry and the next person can be better, but the sorry person is outdoing the better person when it comes to the people who hand out the trophies, the people who say, oh, good job, the people who make the rules.

So let’s just take the time in this moment to realize that if you ever come across it, don’t be surprised if a person who is shittier at doing something than the next person gets more. Because pictures are everything. That’s all I tweeted.
