Give Your Baby a Leg Up
This girl is so out of touch. “Why does your newborn have an Instagram? You already failed as a parent.” If your newborn don’t have an Instagram, that don’t mean that you have failed as a parent. But you just might be out of touch if you’re against it and you’re judgmental with parents about it, where this world is going. Especially if you’re a famous person and you want to give your baby an Instagram page. Why not give your baby that leg up? People work to try to get followers.
Sometimes I just don’t understand. People say things all quippy and then move on with their lives. It’s late and it’s lame to think that somebody is wrong for having an Instagram. I’m saying it out loud. I don’t know how other people feel about it, but people have an issue with everything, and that’s why I’m doing this disclaimer. I’m just saying this stuff because that’s how I feel, and I think it’s true.
Going where we’re going in the world, there’s nothing wrong with a parent having an Instagram thing for their baby, as long as they’re not putting all these lights and stuff in the baby’s face. Why not give your baby a leg up? Everybody got an Instagram page for followers. So if you put an Instagram page up for your baby, and give them a running start when it comes to growing an internet presence, which is very, very important these days, why not?
So no, you’re not failed as a parent. Get with the times, girl. You behind, and you look younger than me. It be the young ones, y’all. It be the young ones.
