Civility

July 10, 2023

The guy rubs the packaged dessert on the ground in front of the monkey. The damn thing picks it up, and he wipes the dirt and the dust off. I just wanted to point that out, because people like to be pointing out civility.

I’m not surprised that the guy filmed it. I do think it’s still disrespectful, because the animal is a being. It don’t have to be a human.

The monkey, of course, being close to humans, doing things that are quote unquote civilized, like not eating off the ground. There’s never, ever a reason to eat off the ground, period. But I’m a Virgo, so I might be wrong.

He’s been in close proximity of other beings that act a certain way that he thinks is better, and so he takes a quote-unquote civilized approach, even so far as to even think about wiping it off. Even if he’s trained, I don’t care if he’s trained. Look at him. He knows what he’s doing. He knows that there is some dirt and filth. So we all can take a lesson from this monkey. Knowing better and doing better, that is a mark of civil.

If you go over there to some African countries, in the desert over there, there is these women that live with lions, and when you look at it, it looks so ancient and primordial. You see them running with these lions. They’re playing, they’re twirling. Remember, the word of the week is civility. That is the mark of civility. It’s the strength card in the tarot deck, where they tame these lions, not through brute force.

In the depictions of lions and humans before Sumeria, you see all these people getting along with lions. Of course they weren’t pets, they were allies or friends, but they were really, really chilling. So I think that was more civilized than housing animals in these cages that caused them to want to rebuke you and kill you.

The humans today do not coexist with animals like they used to. Which one is more civilized? Is it beating animals down into cages for people to gawk and look and point, something that internally needs to travel so far? How could you be so cruel? I can’t even keep my cat in the house. How could you be so cruel as to create an industry around it?

Some animals, like gorillas, you can’t even look at a gorilla. It’s from being traumatized by humans. This is a devolved state of relationship between humans and animals.
