Eligible Is Not Available
This whole thing about eligible bachelors and eligible bachelorettes. I want y’all to just slow down and just think about this one thing. I get bachelor. I get bachelorette. Emphasis on the word eligible, people. Eligibility is determined by your own scale, and I think we need to focus more on the eligible aspect, more so than these people being prospects, potentials and single.
Keyword on bachelor and bachelorette: eligible. And eligible is not available. These people are generally available. You can determine whether they’re available to you. It don’t have to be their choice. You can just have them as eligible or nix them as ineligible. So it’s not in their court to determine whether you are eligible because they are a single bachelor or bachelorette. No. You first. From you comes the eligibility, not from them.
People hear the words eligible bachelorette and they translate that as available and single. That might be true, but the word ain’t available, is it? The word is eligible. And I think we just need to slow down and think about that before we keep on having these conversations.
