Family Money Is the Leg Up
Y’all see what they’re saying about Jay-Z, because he worth a billion and he don’t want to give his family none. And I see somebody put something very, very important up. They said Sam Walton loaned from his father-in-law, Jeff Bezos loaned from his parents, Phil Knight loaned from his father, Elon Musk loaned from his father, Donald Trump loaned from his father, Mark Zuckerberg loaned from his father. And then they say divest from the bootstrap theory. This is very, very important, and it kind of goes together with the point I was just making about giving your child a leg up.
Is this a situation where the new money don’t get it and shall fail, because of the idea, he didn’t struggle like I did when I was coming up? They don’t get the generational money idea, that to struggle is to waste time.
If you have children and you’re a single mother, don’t be too proud to have sex for a mansion. Context, people. Context. Don’t be fooled by judgmental, fake, eyebrow beating on the internet. It’s not even real. What is real is that growling stomach. The girl, you know, that baby’s hair is due to be done. I’m not saying do things for pennies that don’t have longevity. I’m just saying, just think about it before you take up people’s ideas, because they be coming from a mindset that don’t breed.
See, what happens, you guys, is rich people have long fingers, deep, deep, deep inside of any given town, in any given area, and because of this they are able to make certain things happen in their favor. Sometimes not in an evil way. In the normal networking way, without any hidden hand. The couth to network their way into something a little doper than before. And then they try to pass down the gains, or the ideology, to their children, and their children have children, and their children’s children have children. And for the entire longevity of that last name, those people were taken care of, including family from afar.
So when people are coming down on Jay-Z about being stingy with his close family members that live in other places in the United States, I don’t think that they’re thinking about what I’m telling y’all. I think they’re just saying, oh, he’s being greedy. But the mentality of that is even more detrimental. Because let’s say you got trash ass human beings as family members that live somewhere, and you don’t like them. Not for any particular reason, y’all just don’t get along with that side of the family. Let’s say as a billionaire you see blood first, so you still take care of them. Then their children are growing up in a better way. Therefore you have uplifted those people and that generation from that stage, and then they can go on and do whatever they can with the leg up that you have helped them with. Still a reflection of you.
So you might have a billion dollars, well, you might still be trash. And it’s not about what other people think about you. We’re talking about generational stuff that lasts a long time.
Sometimes people get tired. Oh, every time I give them something, they go smoke it up, or drink it up, or this person treated me a certain way. I’m not trying to tell people what to do. I’m just trying to see how it could be missed that you don’t really truly have wealth with that mindset. Are you truly wealthy? Because what about those wealthy people that fly in their cousins or nieces and nephews from across the planet, just because they got it, and they heard that the person is not doing so well, but they know that person is in their bloodline, so they fly them in to give them a shot?
Here’s my question. Are you too busy to care about the longevity of your legendary status? Too busy to care, or too busy to stop and do something? Which one is it? Because you’re missing the point.
It’s no different from when I first got into crypto. I used to tell all these guys, invest for their children, and they used to look at me crazy. Just put five hundred dollars in, and you ain’t got to do no more. Five hundred dollars each child. Six years ago. That ship has sailed. What kind of electricity is going on in your mind to give me an are-you-crazy reaction? Because in my mind, it can only be good. And why not? You doing NFL drafting and all the other stuff. You gambling on everything else. Why not on this? And what about the longevity? What about the future? What about the mindset? What kind of brain are you breeding?
It just brings to mind the girl who can’t bring any friends home, because she know her dad would try to do them. Not on some pervy stuff, but he don’t have the mentality of family man. So nobody comes around. The godmother doesn’t come around, because he doesn’t have any women friends either, because the only women friends that he know is the ones he sleeps with. So let’s say everybody in the area thinks that way. Then nothing will ever happen. Everybody will be down and downtrodden and dredged down and drugged down, because there’s no mindset of growth. And so now there’s no godmother, there’s no parties, there’s no Thanksgiving, there’s none of that, because Dad can’t have girls for friends.
