It’s Not a Sugaring Relationship

May 9, 2022

You know what? Y’all, it feels so good having somebody who loves you and cares about you. They care about your dreams, you care about them, and they wanna take care of you, and they wanna see you successful, happy, whole, healthy. It just feels so good to have somebody like that, and not be a romantic relationship, and not wanna have sex. It’s the best feeling in the world.

And you take care of the person, you’re nice to them. Maybe they need help with, you know, everybody’s different. I know that’s what feels good to me.

I think it’s a lot of lonely people out there, and people always think men and women can’t be friends. But actually, that’s the situation I got myself into. My friend takes care of me. And I say friend, but we weren’t friends at first. I was more like a counselor, an inspirational speaker. I spoke inspiration into him, and it’s a guy, right. It’s not a sugaring relationship. It’s not a gold digger relationship.

This person just wants to see me flourish, do well, and so they make sure that all the basics are taken care of. That way I can focus on me, my health, my wealth, my beauty.

And it goes both ways, because this person, when I met them, they needed enlightenment, they needed encouragement. Like, this person, they work all day, took care of themselves all their life, and they just work. I think they was depressed, and so I helped the person come out of depression just by being myself, because I was nice to them. And the person is not really the most open book when it comes to deep thoughts and self awareness or self expression. But he found an appreciation in me, and now I can focus on what I wanna focus on, because he insists to take care of me.

And I think more people should have relationships like that. Asexual bonds, or whatever. I don’t think there’s words for this situation. Cause like I said, most people think that you have to be sexually attracted to the person to take care of them. Most people think that you and the guy have to be married, or in a relationship, or some sort of financial trade off. And that’s not the case. All it takes is for two people who love each other to wanna see each other do well.

So for him, it’s like an endless source of counseling, psychology, spiritual depth. And plus, we have culture differences. So I get to unpack the whole enlightenment from the black countryside in the US, and he gets to enlighten me on certain things out there in the world. Because I too have a background. I was somewhat sheltered and out there at the same time. We both come from different backgrounds, but he was even more sheltered than me. Maybe I’ll bring him on to talk about it one day. For example, his mom was dismissive. He had a dismissive mom, and so that really formed how he was in a lot of different ways and aspects.

I ended up helping him just by being myself. I’m just a naturally passionate, inspirational person, because I have a positive outlook on life, a positive attitude, right? And I’ve been doing stuff like this my whole life. I didn’t always know that it was a thing, or a gift, or unique. But apparently it is, because it has afforded me a comfortable lifestyle. And he’s not rich, but he’s okay with paying my bills.
