Ratchet Is Not Ghetto
She just a ratchet baby mama? She not even ratchet. I can’t even say that. I ain’t never seen no ratchet let their baby hang over the thing like that. Ratchet girls don’t do that. Ratchet girls take care of their children. Ratchet girls put weave in their daughter’s hair and lashes on their newborn baby. Ratchet people make sure that their children have the best clothes. They might not be that concerned about education, but when it comes to being civil, ratchet people are very civilized. It’s the ghetto people that are different. You can find a ratchet with a 1999 Altima and all the children’s hair done. They just missing school.
But shout out to the ghetto and the ratchet. I’m not talking bad about it. It’s just that sometimes I do get tired of the ghetto taking the rap for certain trash things that I know did not come out the ghetto. And that’s why certain groups of people, like our people, need to stop claiming certain things, because y’all know better, and it ain’t never been in the ghetto.
I know a lot of people in the spiritual community don’t like to hear about mainstream media folk, but therein lies the problem of where we are disconnected from reality. How then can we assist, help and relate to the normal folk if we shun and turn our nose up at everything that they love? Like civility, people. The word of the day is civilized. It’s all about being civilized, y’all, my loves. That’s what Spirit said.
And you have to be able to contend with a 360 degree of life on the planet. You can’t be like everybody else and go into the wilderness. Look what that has done to us. All the people in the retreats, they all went to the retreats, to the wilderness.
