The Four Men Worth Your Time
Most of them don’t like us enough to show it, and then the right ones take it all the way down the aisle. I think we be feeling like it’s just too much to filter through. We only dealing with about four good archetypes in the pond to swim in. The one, of course, as we know, who likes you way more than you like him. That’s number one. Number two, the one who likes you a lot. Number three, the one who just likes you for you. Boom, we can work there. If you don’t like me even a little bit, what am I doing with you? I can get so much better. I can get someone who’s head over heels in love with me, so why would I want you, when you don’t even like me enough? What am I working towards? I’m gonna try to work and try to get us to a point where I’m comfortable, where you can start liking me? I don’t have that much time. I don’t have the time to waste, and I love myself too much.
First, I like myself, and even if I didn’t like myself, I don’t see me openly walking into a relationship where I know, on the surface, that the person don’t like me. It doesn’t matter if I like them. He likes people that don’t like him too. Everybody plays the fool sometimes. You cry for somebody, next thing you know, somebody else is crying over you. That’s how it is, but you can’t see that if you’re only stuck on one person who kind of doesn’t like you, moving on into the future.
Of course there will be people that like you and you don’t like them, and it’ll hurt them, and you too, depending on how much dating or chances you’re giving yourself. Cause dating is not mating. Those are two different things. People be mating. They don’t be dating. They be having sex. They don’t be courting each other. And as many chances as you give yourself to go on dates, or meet new people, and get interested in this guy and that guy, you gonna find some that you like, you don’t like, some that like you, and some that don’t like you. But you definitely have to give yourself options and chances. You don’t see one guy, apple of your eye, and then put everything to the side, depriving yourself. That’s not self love, seeing a guy and taking all the other guys off the table, just because of this one who hasn’t even really shown that he cares about you.
