You Are the Divine in Tarot
“Divination is a way of gaining insight into a situation or question by the use of an occult practice.” That’s a lie. That’s just not true. How many of us have had people come to us before we even knew about tarot, and we were able to divine a situation for them? I’m gonna say it, I say this all the time. You are the divine in tarot. You are the one carrying out the divination. It is not the occult sciences.
The occult sciences and tarot are Blavatsky-esque. We never needed her to put in all the occult symbolism and stuff like that in tarot. These people who talk about the occult in tarot, it’s just a way to guide your gaze over into occultism. I’m gonna tell you guys, leave that occult stuff where it’s at. Leave the occultism over there and just focus on the images in the cards.
The dictionary version of divination is the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means. Who’s supernatural? You’re supernatural. You are the supernatural being. Don’t believe me? Why are you even bother breathing? How in the world did you carry a child for nine months? That’s not supernatural? How in the world did the sperm find an egg? Science can explain all of this, but what is the use of all this action? Earth could have just been a blank slate, a white slate or a black slate. Why bother having the heart thump?
You, the human, are the supernatural being. Nothing else. You’re gonna come to earth, you’re gonna live a life, you’re gonna pass away. If you have children, then another person will come, and they will live a life. But even if you don’t have children, that don’t make you any less supernatural. Why do you not stop breathing when you go to sleep? If that’s not supernatural. You are supernatural.
Why am I doubling down on this? Because right is right, wrong is wrong. Loud and wrong, informing people, and also informing them on the wrong thing. Why does being informed on the wrong thing matter? Well, it matters because do you want to be informed, or do you just want people talking in a video?
The only thing divine about tarot is you. It’s everyday happenings, everyday goings on. The newborn baby with the Fool card in Aries. The teenager with the Strength card in Leo. It’s your everyday mundane experience explained in cards. It’s the average journey from neophyte to adept, from being down in the dumps on the spiral to an enlightened individual. Your first day on a job: Fool card, Page of Pentacles. Do not let these people glorify and deify these cards beyond you. And how do we know this to be true? Every other reading you do ain’t nothing but a confirmation for the querent. Oh, I knew that. Oh, I thought so. You know what, that ran across my mind. That’s how you know it’s not that removed from the average everyday experience.
