Your Daughter’s Future Godfather
I’m here to talk to y’all today about getting the attention that you want, and the one that you actually deserve, without the connotation of we’re going to eventually be in a relationship. You need to reprogram yourself from thinking that your son and daughter’s future godfather is the person you’re supposed to be with. This person who you’re befriending right now is gonna make a great complement to your life later on down the line.
And a lot of us, we mess up these opportunities because, unbeknownst to us, we’re sleeping with our daughter’s godfather. God forbid we find ourselves a single mother and we need a role model, but we messed it up because we put it through the relationship lens, when it was never a relationship. It was a meeting. It was a connection between a man and a woman. It never had to go into a physical relationship, a romantic relationship. That’s not necessary. And in your future, you deserve male figures, men around you, who you didn’t sleep with. You deserve someone who cares about you genuinely, authentically, as opposed to, eventually I know I’m gonna get some sexual favors out of this woman.
And in no time you will have a man taking care of you, so to speak, because of the relationship you cultivated. When you need assistance, when you need help, this person will be there for you as a true, authentic bond. And it’s no problem for men. They’re born for this. Where else do they spend their money? It’s always on women or friends and family. That’s why they go to work.
As opposed to paying a psychologist or therapist, they could just have you as a listening ear, a sincere person, because you’re good at what you do. You have to be like me, a therapeutic being naturally. Maybe your birth chart is made some kind of way. Maybe you were raised in the church. Whatever your gift is, why not pour that into a person who was probably a nerd back in the day? And they made all the money that they needed to make, but they never got that self awareness. They never got what they needed internally. But you was born for this.
A lot of women end up marrying a build-a-man. She was actually supposed to pour into somebody who is worthy, not someone who didn’t care enough to get themselves to a point where it can be symbiotic, going back and forth. So this is not transactional. The idea is a win-win. Two platonic friends who care enough about each other. And the most a man can do is support you financially, helping you with your endeavors. And they will be happy to do that naturally, because of the good work that you’re doing out in the world. You can swap out the sugar baby and the sugaring for an authentic bond.
As long as y’all are there for each other, it can flourish into adult friendships. You attending his wedding, he attending yours. And the relationship is so pure that maybe some people even might mistake it, oh man, they must be together. So what if they think that? Do you really want those people around you who don’t think that men and women can be friends? That to me personally is ignorant. There’s only men and women. So who else are we supposed to be friends with?
You’re supposed to be friends with people who know this, not people you have to convince of this. Not people who claim they wanna be your friend, and then you see them looking at you sideways, like they want more from you, because they don’t care about having more healthy female role models in their own daughter’s lives. Every woman they know, they either slept with or it’s a family member. That’s not the kind of people you want attention from. The kind of attention that you deserve is fulfilling, not parasitic, not predatory.
Meanwhile, the guy who you want the attention from is being preyed upon. He might be one of those people that’s generous, very caring, very giving, and giving all his money away to somebody who isn’t worth it, or neighbors who are taking advantage of him. Now instead of pouring into this lady who claims she has a charity but she’s just eating up all the money, and this guy who says he got a good sports bet, now it’s going into you, who wants nothing but good for the people. So how do you get that attention? By pouring your woman magic into a worthy individual who needs your kind of assistance. What are you good at? Are you therapeutic? Are you good at getting people to see things your way when it’s good for them? Are you a good pep talker?
